🏡 Exodus is an Indiana-based resettlement agency that was first established in 1981. Since that time, it has welcomed thousands of people from around the world through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). The Bloomington office was founded in the fall of 2021 and, since then, it has welcomed over 500 refugees to the Bloomington community. Exodus's goal is to help clients establish self-sufficient new lives in Indiana. Upon welcoming people at the airport, Exodus provides all basic necessities for day-to-day living, such as housing and clothing and household supplies. Exodus also provides intensive case management services to clients, including but not limited to: securing employment, learning English, connecting them to a primary care doctor, enrolling their children in school and citizenship classes. Finally, the agency provides a variety of other services for long-term support, including both legal services and mental health services. The donations from the Positive Change program in August will help provide essential direct support to Exodus clients, such as a grocery cards, medicine, and rent and utility assistance.
