Thank you for another wonderful Flower Friday! This is our first week not having enough flowers for all the inquiries (due to this heat wave) and….. we hate that. But, seeing our Mother’s Day subscribers is always a treat. 🧡💐🧡

Let’s talk the roller coaster that is Summer 2026 and what to expect in the next two months!

💐our established flowers are well BUT they are slowing down- normal process. That is why we plant successions!

🌱Our transplants are struggling. This celosia bed pictured was our greatest success and we still lost about 1/3 of a 100 foot bed. Swipe over and you’ll see the zinnia bed RIGHT next to it- planted same day, same conditions. This is the LONE survivor….in a 100 foot bed.

🎢 the moment we see loss we start replacements in the greenhouse (or just already have extras ready) and we try to replace. SO we did plant a new zinnia bed which is okay so far. It’ll be a toss up to see if it can survive the heat and bloom before the frost 😂

🌞while things are slowing, we do have some successions ramping up. AND we have some fun new things coming. Gomphrena, strawflower, and new colors of cockscomb.

As always- it’s a mix of good and bad. Just a bit more extreme than usual.

So here is what to expect for sales! We have pre-commitments that we need to honor (Mother’s Day subscriptions, wholesale, weddings, events). These are not every week but will require a lot of our September and October product.

This mixed with the weather makes it harder to predict what we’ll have and also when something will be the last time to get it (example- we may have sold our last zinnia bundles of the year).

We will likely open sales later each week when we know exactly what we have. We refuse to drop size or quality to spread the product further ☺️ there also may be a few weeks when we don’t get to sell.

So if ya see something you love, don’t hesitate 🧡looking forward to a good fall with yall! Well keep doing our best to grow 💪

We owe the biggest shout out to River Valley Home & Lumber for letting us set up each week for Flower Friday!

We get a lot of questions about how we ended up setting up in a hardware store 😆 flowers and hardware are a funny combo. I (Destiny) grew up at S&W Home Center. My family owned and operated it for 29 years. Patrick worked there when we moved here, as well.

Over the years the staff and customers have become like family and it’s just one of our favorite places. So, when we started selling locally and needed a convenient pick up spot the store was the obvious choice! This past Spring my family sold the store. I wasn’t sure what that would mean for Flower Fridays. Would we still set up there ? Would it feel the same ?

Somehow, it is even better! The new owner, Mark, a veteran, has a great vision for the place. He’s been very kind to let us continue. He has kept all the same great staff and added some fun new faces, too. Best of all- his daughter, Norma Jean, comes and helps me every Friday, and I’m training her how to be the hardware store kid.

They have some great plans for the Booneville area and I encourage everyone to follow their page and go meet the new owners! We’re lucky to have them here 💖
