🥪 Sandwich Lore Time! 🥪

Ever wonder where our legendary New Jersey Sloppy Joe comes from? It actually starts all the way back in 1934... in Havana, Cuba! 🇨🇺The former mayor of Maplewood, NJ, was visiting a famous Havana bar called Sloppy Joe’s, where he fell in love with a messy, multi-layered sandwich. When he got back home, he asked a local deli to recreate that exact magic. By the 1940s, the triple-decker masterpiece we know and love today was perfected—piled high with premium deli meats, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing on thin-sliced rye. No hot ground beef here! It is truly one of our more unique sandwiches, but a total fan favorite!

New News……. Making our way out west to Mission Bay!
