Continuing our Mothers & Daughters of Main Street series, today we turn to a new spot on Main Street that people can’t stop talking about, and it’s truly a family vision brought to life.

Selah Coffee + Market, now open at 616 N Main St, is owned and operated by D’ann and Stephen Gimenez alongside their daughter and son-in-law, Aubrey and Travis Tamayo. But at the heart of it all is that special mother-daughter dynamic helping shape the feel of the place.

You'll typically find D'ann in the kitchen whipping up delicious delicacies and Aubrey out front interacting with customers.

It’s set inside a charming old house with calm, vintage vibes, great coffee, and the kind of atmosphere that makes it easy to stay awhile. And yes—there’s even a playground out back 👀

From small-batch bagels to homemade sandwiches, everything about Selah feels thoughtful and intentional.

We’re also excited to have them as partners of The Boerne Life 🤝

Meet the Owners 🤍

Hi, we’re Travis and Aubrey, two of the four hearts behind Selah Café Coffee & Market.

We met on a blind date, and from the beginning, the Lord has written a story that is joyful, deep, and rooted in faith. Travis carries an unwavering faith in God and truth, and together we strive to build something that reflects Him well.

Selah was born when we moved to Boerne and saw a need for something different, a place centered on handcrafted coffee, clean ingredients, supporting local, and most importantly, faith and community.

“Selah” means to pause and reflect. Our prayer is that when you walk through our doors, you feel the peace of God’s presence and are invited to slow down, even for a moment.

We are believers first, business owners second.

We’re committed to doing things with intention, from clean, thoughtfully sourced ingredients to crafting our syrups in-house.

The loss of our son, Azaiah, has deeply shaped our story. We are proud to be his parents, and we carry him with us in all that we do. His life has inspired us to create a space that feels peaceful, safe, and full of care a place where people can come as they are and not feel alone.

We are truly honored to serve you. 🤍

A gentle reminder for our beloved community as we get asked this question often 🤍

At Selah, our work begins with who we are first: believers in God, and business owners second. The word “Selah” calls us to pause, to rest, to reflect and we strive to live that out, not just speak it.

Because of this, we are closed every Saturday, indefinitely, as we honor the Sabbath.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” – Exodus 20:8

This is more than a day off it’s a rhythm of rest, reflection, and devotion that guides everything we do. We are grateful for your understanding and support as we honor this calling.
