It's been a great first year for Blackbird Bakeshop and this will be our last weekend at the Saturday market for 2013 - it's bitter (we'll miss seeing you), but sweet (we're tired!). Many thanks to all our pie people for a sensational season - we've learned a lot and made some fabulous friends!

So, pies for this last week are Classic Apple, Southern Pecan, Crimson Berry and Spiced Pumpkin and (oh happiness!) you can also get one (or more!) of these flavors for THANKSGIVING. We're taking pre-orders at the market for pick-up on Nov. 27. It's first come-first served though, 'cuz quantities are limited. See you there!

While the pie dude was putting faces on pumpkins, I (the pie dudette) was putting the pie menu together for this week's Saturday market ... we've got Buttered Rum Apple, Salty Honey Walnut, Lemon Chess and we're bringing back Crimson Berry 'cuz pie lovers loved it last week. It'll definitely be on our Holiday order menu!

Don't you just love Fall ... warm days, crisp nights, lovely leaves and PIE! It's perfect pie weather, and here are our flavors for Saturday market this week - Rum Raisin Apple, Dutch Apple, GZ's Chocolate Hazelnut and Crimson (a festive combo of cranberries and blueberries). Delicious!
