The High Country Food Hub makes it possible for farmers to work together to meet the growing demand for local, sustainable food in the High Country area. Farmers benefit from the marketing, selling, packaging and delivering of their produce and prepared foods. Our online market brings fresh, nutritious, locally grown and produced food and artisan goods to you, the buyer, in a cost-effective manner on a weekly basis.

Meet Alex and Jess at Daybreak Homestead! ⭐️

What started as a regular garden transformed into their amazing homestead in 2022. Located in Triplett, NC, Alex and Jess take pride in their permaculture land management practices. They use this to create healthy soil, happy animals, and high quality farm products and experiences for the community. 🥩 🧑‍🌾

They use nearly every inch of their mountain homestead, originally just growing flowers and vegetables. They later began raising and butchering animals, selling USDA certified heritage breed pork and lamb, flowers, and produce. They also often open their doors hosting events, engaging with the community, and provide opportunities to learn more about their homestead. 🌼

We want to give a big thank you to Feeding Avery Families for helping us bring local food closer to home! 🧡

Feeding Avery Families is a dedicated nonprofit food pantry focused on addressing food insecurity in Avery County, North Carolina. They are a part of MANNA Food Bank and Feeding America Network. Feeding Avery Families also partners with local farmers and grocery stores to provide fresh produce, diary, and prepared meals. We are so grateful for their support as one of our amazing Satellite partners!
