It’s that time of year again! Time for Tomato Day at the Farmers Market!!🍅❤️🥳
This year, we’ve taken things up a notch and are combining 3 of your favorite local food markets for the first annual Tomato Trail!

We’re so excited to team up with Watauga County Farmers' Market and our sister program High Country Food Hub to put on this exciting, week-long special event! 🎈
Did you know that there are 3 ways to shop and support local every week in Boone? The Saturday farmers market (Watauga County Farmers' Market), the Tuesday farmers market (King Street Farmers Market) and the Wednesday pickup day for the online farmers market (High Country Food Hub) make it easy to find everything you need on your grocery list!🥒🥕🌽🍅

We’ll kick the Tomato Trail off this coming Saturday, 9/5 at the Watauga County Farmers Market from 8:00am-12:00pm, where you can pick up your Tomato Passport! This passport, designed by the talented Meredith (meredithpurdy.com) will guide you through the activities of the week, and those who attend all 3 markets and receive a stamp at each one will earn a special prize!!🎈

Each market will have unique and exciting activities, including tomato cooking demonstrations, tastings, games and more! We’ll also have a raffle with merchandise from each participating market, with the winner announced at the Food Hub pickup day next Wednesday!

We had some amazing customers from the Martin family this Tuesday! ☺️

They got veggies 🥗 from Carringer Farms and Brooke Kornegay, as well as feta 🧀from Heritage Homestead and some meat 🥩 from Forgotten Ways Farm!

We are open open open!!!! Come join us for such a nice afternoon with so many wonderful vendors! 🥳🥳

We have so many good veggies 🥗 this week from Brooke Kornegay Carringer Farms and Forgotten Ways Farm! We also have some yummy goat cheese 🧀 from Heritage Homestead, art 🖼️ from Fannon Farm and Craft, plants 🪴 from Yvonne Finne who are also doing a sale!!

We also have MountainTrue here, as well as Hospitality House Northwest NC!

We had such a beautiful Tuesday at the market! The sun ☀️ was shining and the music 🎶 was perfect! So many customers came out with their dogs 🦮 and even one tiny gecko! 🦎

The merchants were even nicer than the weather with new art, treats, and delicious produce! We also got some amazing homemade food from our wonderful cooking demo! That potato and green bean salad really hit the spot ☺️.

We can’t wait for another wonderful market next Tuesday! See you there from 3:30-6:30PM! 🥳🥳🥳

Say hi to our customers of the week 👋! From left to right they are Ryan, Lelia, Yasmine, and Willow, and they got so many good things to eat and try out! 🎉🎉

Starting off strong they got some pastries from Four Sisters Bakery, as well as goat cheese 🧀from Heritage Homestead, there was also yummy apple butter 🍎 from Carringer Farms, golden goddess oil from Cat & Fiddle Co | Kass, stained glass from Gala Crafts, soup 🍲 from Beverly McLaughlin, and lemonade 🍋 from Lemon Lips Lemonade!!

They enjoyed their haul so much they came back for more! Have a great week and see you next Tuesday!🥰

Come and see what all we have to offer this afternoon, from flowers and garlic to face cleanser and original art!

We also have Hunger and Health Coalition joining us with a donation station, Watauga Humane Society with a furry friend, and the Watauga County DSS with information on their foster parent program.
