📢 COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT — SATURDAY MARKET CANCELED
To our Bossier City and Shreveport community,
After closely monitoring the weather and receiving updated reports from local meteorologists, strong storms and heavy rainfall are expected this Saturday, October 25th. Because of the uncertainty and severity of the early morning forecast, we must make the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s Bossier City Farmers Market at Pierre Bossier Mall.
This decision was not made lightly. However, the safety of our vendors, their equipment, their products, and the shoppers who support us every week must come first.
For many of our small businesses, weather like this can:
• Soak and ruin fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, and merchandise
• Damage electrical equipment, cooking setups, tents, and displays
• Create unsafe conditions due to wind, slick pavement, and lightning
• Cause costly financial losses that small businesses may not recover from
Our vendors work incredibly hard and invest a great deal of time, passion, and resources to be here each week. We will never put their safety — or the community’s — at risk.

🎃 Trick-or-Treating Update
Although we hate to miss a Saturday, there is good news! Our Market Trick-or-Treating event is being rescheduled to next Saturday, November 1st! 👻🍬
Yes — it’s one day after Halloween, but our vendors have TONS of candy, goodies, and fun surprises ready for the kids, and we didn’t want anyone to miss out! Bring the whole family for a safe and super-fun morning of shopping local and celebrating spooky season a little longer! 🎃🛍️✨

Thank you to everyone who planned to shop local with us this weekend. We truly appreciate the excitement and support that the Shreveport–Bossier community gives to local farmers and makers each and every Saturday. While Mother Nature may have had other plans this week, we can’t wait to be back together again for a fun, family-friendly market next weekend!
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support.
