She calved late last night- a big black bull calf. They are both doing well. It will take about a week for her milk to clear and make it into the tank. After that, we will be milking 4 cows and will be back in butter, heavy cream, half and half, and ghee-all the great extras that weā€™ve been missing. šŸ§ˆ

Hey Stahl's Potatoes- White Oak Farms! Look what we did!
Today we are rolling out a new flavor-APPLE BUTTER CARAMEL. Made with Stahlā€™s homemade apple butter and topped with thick caramel sauce.

We also have UBE MANGO, VANILLA STRAWBERRY RHUBARB, and because we had leftover lemon curd from Saturday, RASPBERRY LEMON CURD.

We have sweet and sour today-take your pick!

Also, please leave the shed door open if thereā€™s a cat inside-so they can escape. Fluffykins and Sā€™mores keep getting in.

We are so so overwhelmed by the response to our yogurt. I didnā€™t even get to post what was in the shed before there was a line! Thank you so so much to apparently the whole population of Somerset and Cambria Counties who turned out for YOGURT SATURDAY. Thank you from the bottom of our heartsšŸ©µšŸ’š

We still have about 25 yogurts left and those flavors are MOCHA CARAMEL, PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE, ELDERFLOWER DRAGONFRUIT, TEABERRY, and UNFLAVORED

We sold out of taco corn dip, raspberry lemon curd, and butter pretty quickly.

Look at this good, clean whey. We usually get 4 gallons of whey every time we make a double batch of yogurt. Thatā€™s 8-12 gallons a week. Whey is fantastic for using in lacto fermentation, watering your garden, and feeding (some of) your animals.
If anyone ever wants any whey, message or text me and I will happily give it to you. We have plenty to go around.
