Monthly since the spring, the public library has hosted free DIY Series sessions at SOKY Center. May's program featured a how-to fermentation class, during which program participants learned the basic process and put together a jar to ferment at home.

Later this month, the DIY Series event will take place Tuesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. at the SOKY Center Pavilion (636 Center St.) and focus on Bike Repair Basics. Bring your bike, if you'd like, and get expert guidance from Ryan from Warren County Parks & Recreation who runs its Bicycle Co-op! He'll teach you the anatomy of a bicycle, how diagnose common challenges due to wear, and share details about proper tools to use. Registration is required: https://tinyurl.com/2b9kbpfu.
