The Wednesday Word! ✝️

During the severe weather we experienced last Wednesday evening, I stood on the porch of our house and watched the lightning display. It was nothing short of spectacular! What I especially noticed when the sky lit up is what looked like windows in the sky. It brought this verse to mind where God is encouraging investment in His Kingdom.

Personally, I read this as a command to financially invest and invest in service. As we do this, we are bringing a piece of Heaven to Earth. We could be pointing someone to their window to Heaven. As if that is not blessing enough, God promises additional blessings for approaching our lives with this kind of heart. He invites us to test Him in this.

So, if you are not already, today is the day to start 🩷

The Wednesday Word! ✝️

I have you ever felt two things at once that seemed to be completely opposite emotions? Like joy and worry? Excitement and grief? Gratitude while in pain?

I think this is a spectacular ability God has equipped us with when we are honest with Him about how we are feeling. When we share our fears openly with Him, he helps us find hope.

When we wrestle out a painful situation with Him, He will help us find the purpose in it. Please don’t rob yourself of this by denying your feelings or telling yourself you shouldn’t feel a certain way. God is waiting for us to approach Him with vulnerability and honesty so He can impart His perspective to us.

This gives us strength to move forward when we might otherwise stay stuck. Only He can help us see the horizon 🩷
