Stout's Melody Acres

Stout's Melody Acres Produce Farm and Greenhouse We grow 100 acres of produce and several greenhouses. In the spring we sell flower and bedding plants.

Summer is corn, tomatoes, peppers and other produce. Fall brings mums, pumpkins, and winter squash to name a few.

I know it has been an extremely long time since we have posted here on our farm page. While we truly loved farming and raising produce we just were not making enough money to sustain our family of 4. I have received several messages wondering what was going on with us. We hope at some point down the road that we will be able to return to produce. We are both working full time jobs with a guaranteed paycheck every week, and benefits. We both are starting to approach the age that having medical insurance and money in the bank is a good feeling. We would like to thank everyone that has supported us over the year's.

First of all we would like to thank all of our customers. The last couple years have not quite gone they eat we had hoped. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are taking a year off from growing produce. This also means we will not be attending any farmers markets. Hopefully next year we can regroup and come back strong with our veggies. Again thank you for your support.

We have had several inquiries regarding if and when our roadside stand will open . We honestly can't guess. Our tomatoes are just not ripening.Randy and I are are just as frustrated as our customers .We have never had this issue before. We are still trying to be optimistic. Thank you for your continued support .

Several of you have messaged or stopped by and ask if and when we are going to open roadside stand. Yes we are planning to open stand. Hopefully it will be within the next couple weeks. We are only going to have tomatoes and eggplant. DEER demoloshed the pepper plants and the devoured all of our sweet corn. The combination of the 90 degree days and wildlife have eaten or burned up all the summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and cabbage that we had planted . I will post pictures etc once we start picking enough to open our tent. We appreciate your support and understanding . If your able to go shop one of the local farmers markets all of our fellow farm vendors would appreciate your support .
