COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE FIRE

Location: Cal Maine Foods (Egg Plant) in Bremen
(1800 State Route 2584)

This fire occurred just after 01:00 hours, on Sunday October 1st 2023. Fire personnel arrived to a commercial structure fully involved. Multiple crews are still on scene.

We have been notified that one entire chicken house is a complete loss, with exposure to a neighboring structure. No injuries have been reported.

We will provide updates on this post as we receive them.

Agencies that responded:

Bremen FD, CCFD, Drakesboro FD, Greenville FD, Beechmont FD, Graham FD, WHFRTC Fire, MCEMS, All McLean County Fire Departments, White Plains FD, Nortonville FD, Anton FD, Centertown FD, Hartford FD, Rockport FD.

UPDATE: Multiple agencies have cleared the scene - Some fire personnel from multiple departments are still on scene as of 10:25 AM.

UPDATE: All units are clear of the fire scene as of 13:30 hours. Cal Maine personnel will remain on scene with excavation equipment on hand to monitor the scene.

UPDATE: Bremen FD back en route to the scene at 14:50 hours.
