If you can survive a Massachusetts rotary, you can handle just about anything. 😂 And yes, I said rotary. I’m not changing it now.

Massachusetts officially discovered that roundabouts aren’t traffic circles…

They’re trust exercises. 🚗❄️💀

On paper, it’s simple:

Slow down.
Yield.
Enter.
Take your exit.

Easy.

Massachusetts drivers looked at that and said:

“Okay… but who has the right-of-way?” 😭

The first car enters confidently.

The second car brakes for absolutely no reason.

The third car signals left, goes right, and changes lanes halfway through.

And somehow somebody from out of state is already doing three laps trying to find the correct exit. 💀

Then comes the Massachusetts pickup truck crowd.

One is hauling a boat toward Cape Cod.
Another has a trailer packed for a weekend in the Berkshires.
And another looks like it’s carrying enough equipment to survive a New England winter. 😂

Then there’s the driver doing 12 mph through the entire roundabout while a line of cars stretches behind them toward Worcester. 😭

Turn signals?

Some people use them.

Some don’t.

And at least one Massachusetts driver has apparently had their blinker on since leaving Boston in 2024. 💀

Multi-lane roundabouts are where things get truly interesting.

The signs say:

LEFT LANE → LEFT
RIGHT LANE → RIGHT

Massachusetts drivers say:

“We’ll figure it out.” 😂

Now add:

❄️ Snow
🌧️ Freezing rain
🌬️ Strong coastal wind
🦌 A deer watching from the roadside
☕ Dunkin’ coffee in the cupholder

And suddenly that roundabout feels less like traffic engineering and more like a New England survival challenge.

The engineers said:

“This will improve traffic flow.”

Massachusetts said:

“Let’s make it interesting.” 💀

It’s not just a roundabout.

It’s a circle of confidence, confusion, aggressive merges, winter weather, and questionable decisions.

And somehow…

everybody eventually ends up at Dunkin’. ☕🚗😂

I bought a Himalayan salt block. It arrived looking like it lost a fight with the delivery driver. 😂 Too heavy and expensive to bother shipping back, so now I have a question. Is a chipped salt block actually ruined, or can you still cook on it SAFELY? Before I heat this giant pink rock and make matters worse, I’m finding out. 🤔 I’ll show you what I learn AND whether it was worth buying in the first place.

Anybody else’s kids hide what they broke? 🙄 Because apparently if I dont see it, it never happened. Except they hid GLASS near where they work out, sometimes barefoot! 🤦🏾‍♀️
No witnesses. No confession. Just shards and audacity. 🤣

Honey is on the way. 🍯🐝 And this time, I’m putting all the good stuff in one place. What’s at the stand, seasonal updates, recipes, little things we make and grow, and eventually a whole lot more. Buzz Basil & Blooms finally has a little home on the internet. Come snoop around. 😂🍁

P.S. 🤣 Plus, it'll motivate me to keep working on it. *Honey is on the way. 🍯🐝 And this time, I’m putting all the good ...

From our roadside stand to the garden, kitchen and beehives, this is where we share what we're growing, making, learning and figuring out along the way.

Sometimes I head outside for a little garden stroll just to clear my head. No project, no weeding, no list of things I should be doing. Just a few quiet minutes outside before calling it a night. Apparently, though, the garden has a night shift...and she takes her job very seriously. 🧚😂 🌱

planted one tiny seed and ended up needing a full grown human for scale. 😂🌻 But the size isn't even my favorite part. If I let this mammoth sunflower finish maturing, one flower head can give me hundreds of seeds. I'll save some for next year's garden, leave some for the birds and hopefully share some too. If you're saving sunflower seeds, don't cut the head just because the petals are fading. Let the seeds mature first and wait for the back of the flower head to turn yellow to brown and begin drying. One seed gave me THIS. That's exactly why I love growing things. 🌻

🌧️ Rain is one of those sounds that can make the world feel a little quieter for a minute. No music. No talking. Nothing to do. Just 15 seconds of real New England rain from my porch. Save this one for a day when everything feels a little too loud. 🤎
