As we celebrate 10 years of Bristol Café & Market, our hearts are filled with so many emotions, as today also marks 10 years since we lost Mary.
This café began as Mary’s dream—a dream she worked incredibly hard to bring to life. She envisioned creating something meaningful for her family and a place where people could gather, feel welcomed, and enjoy the comfort of good food and community.
Although Mary never had the opportunity to see the café become everything she imagined, her presence has been felt in every part of it. Her strength, intelligence, elegance, faith, and love for her family remain at the heart of everything we do.
When life changed in a way no one could have imagined, Mike made the incredibly brave decision to continue Mary’s dream. While carrying unimaginable heartbreak, he kept moving forward and made sure the doors opened. For the past 10 years, he has supported the café, our family, and everything Mary hoped this place would become.
Mike, thank you for believing in her dream enough to carry it forward. Thank you for every sacrifice, every difficult decision, and every moment you chose not to give up. Bristol Café & Market is Mary’s legacy, but it is also a beautiful reflection of your love and devotion to her.
Ten years later, we are still here because of Mary’s dream, Mike’s strength, and a community that has loved and supported us every step of the way. We hope she would be proud of what her dream has become. We miss her deeply, honor her always, and will continue carrying her legacy forward. 🤍
