Perry’s Pork Rinds & Country Store, located in Bronson, Kansas, is a family-owned business founded by Thaddeus and Kelly Perry in 2017. What began as a small home-based operation making hand-cooked pork rinds has grown into a thriving country store featuring pork rinds, fudge, deli meats and cheeses, fresh produce, and other locally sourced goods. Thaddeus, a trained butcher, and Kelly, an entrepr
eneur with a passion for community and small-town business, first began selling pork rinds and funnel cakes to raise money for their honeymoon. After unexpectedly selling out at their first event, they turned that success into a full-time venture. Today, Perry’s Pork Rinds produces small-batch, hand-seasoned rinds cooked in soybean oil at over 400°F for a crisp, fresh taste. Their products are now sold in more than 200 Kansas retail locations and have shipped nationwide and even overseas. In 2022, the couple expanded their business into a brick-and-mortar country store along Highway 54 and later added an RV campground to welcome travelers. The Perrys’ dedication to quality, hard work, and community involvement has earned them statewide recognition, including the Kansas Department of Commerce’s Southeast Kansas Region Award of Merit. Together, Thaddeus and Kelly continue to grow their business while staying true to their small-town roots and commitment to feeding families near and far.
