HLSR Dress Code: Keep It Cute, But Keep It Covered

PER HLSR CODE OF CONDUCT:

Proper attire must be worn on HLSR Show grounds at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. HLSR reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other guests.

Clothing that is not appropriate for the HLSR Show grounds includes, but is not limited to, clothing with objectionable material (including obscene language or graphics), excessively torn cloth, visible undergarments, and/or clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.

Wearing clothing, visible tattoos or any other attire bearing the name, insignia, colors, or other indicia of affiliation to a criminal street gang is prohibited on HLSR Show grounds.

No clothing or apparel that intentionally obscures the face is permitted unless worn for cultural or religious reasons or a medical condition.

All persons, bags, parcels, clothing and other items may be subject to screening/security checks at HLSR Show grounds entrances.

HLSR reserves the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item to be brought into the grounds, and to deal with any unattended object in such a way as they consider appropriate.

In Kentucky, the Nada Tunnel makes for both an incredible sight and an incredible drive! Often called the “Gateway to the Red River Gorge,” this 900-foot tunnel is carved straight through solid rock and takes you right into one of the most scenic areas in the state. It was built in the early 1900s for the Dana Lumber Company and named after the nearby logging town of Nada. The tunnel was first cut at only 12 feet tall, but after a train loaded with logs got stuck inside, crews had to blast it bigger so it could be used again. Today, it is still narrow and only one lane, so drivers need to turn on their headlights and watch for cars coming the other way. What once carried timber is now a one-of-a-kind drive surrounded by cliffs, forest, and deep mountain history.

The 2nd Annual Tennessee Pickle Festival kicks off in a month as one of the most memorable spring events in the Cookeville, Tennessee area! Held May 2nd and 3rd, 2026 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, this growing festival returns after drawing over 30,000 people in its first year. You’ll find pickle-themed foods everywhere, from fried pickles to pickles on a stick, along with vendors serving up classic fair eats. Live music plays all day while pickle eating contests bring big crowds and loud cheers. Kids can enjoy a free petting zoo, bounce house, train rides, and face painting, while adults browse boutiques, grab permanent jewelry, or try axe throwing. There are carnival games, rides, a carousel, and even helicopter rides. With free parking and low admission, it’s an easy, fun-filled day.
