Bringing home fresh meat from Kaine’s Meat Market & Smokehouse? Follow these general storage guidelines to keep it fresh and tasting its best:

❄️ REFRIGERATOR — 40°F or colder

🧊 FREEZER — 0°F or colder

Freezing keeps meat safe for longer, but these recommended times provide the best flavor and quality. Wrap meat tightly or place it in a freezer-safe package, label it with the date and freeze it as soon as possible.

When in doubt, throw it out—never taste questionable meat to determine whether it is safe!
