ABOUT US
Lewis Ranch Livestock is a family-owned agricultural operation located in Brookesmith, Texas. Operated by Matthew and Jeff Lewis and their wives, Chandler and Stephanie.
The operation currently includes commercial cattle, beef sales, commercial goats, and honeybees.

OUR MISSION
To produce the most nutritious agricultural products possible by managing our land and livestock in the way we believe the Lord intended.
We are committed to honoring God through our work, our relationships and the food we provide.

OUR BEEF PROGRAM
Our beef operation is currently based around Murray Grey-sired beef. Murray Grey cattle are a British breed (developed in Australia) that were originally very similar to Angus cattle. They are praised for their maternal ability, efficiency within a pasture-based production system, and their meat quality. We sourced our bulls from Backbone Ranch Murray Greys, and they have proven genetics that excel in the pasture and in their ability to produce tender, well-marbled beef. Our commercial cattle herd currently consists of Charolais and Limousin cattle, and we have always benefited from their fast-growing, heavily muscled calves. These Murray Grey bulls are complementing our herd of continental cattle very well. The steers are growing well and proving to be very effective meat animals. The crossbred heifers will be more moderate in size than our current cattle herd, and they are already showing increased efficiency within our pasture-based production system. We look forward to how our crossbreeding system can take advantage of the desirable traits from all the breeds involved.

Hello, Brown County! We are Matthew and Chandler Lewis. Matthew is a mixed animal Veterinarian and Chandler is a Registered Nurse. This past year, God has reaffirmed our passions and revealed ways to serve him while in pursuit of our goals. We have enjoyed working together as a team and combining our talents to create LRL Market - an Affiliate of our parent company Lewis Ranch Livestock. With LRL Market we aim to glorify God in everything we do while providing the county with nutrient-dense, chemical-free products. We have been formulating and working on our Beef Tallow for months now and we will be releasing to the public SOON! Most of our beef tallow comes from our own Livestock operation- but to get started we have outsourced some grass-fed tallow from other local operations.

Chandler has also started taking orders for Fresh Milled Flour baked goods. Current offerings include cookies, cakes, sandwich breads, and sourdough products. Our goal is to only use whole food/natural ingredients. We will now be taking orders through this page for local pickup.

When you buy our products you are not just buying skincare! YOU ARE SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY! Ten percent of all product sales goes toward creating our “Community Bread Project” where loaves of Bread made from Freshly Milled Flour will be donated to locals in need. This bread is extremely nutritious and high in vitamins and minerals. This is what many of those in need are lacking in their every day diet. Thank you for helping those in need within our community!

We both grew up in Brown County

We met in third grade

We are high school sweethearts

We have 3 girls- twin 5 year olds and a 9 month old

We lived in College Station where we went to school for 8 years- Gig Em!
