Hot commodity at the co-op right now: North Fork Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips, made and distributed by Martin Sidor Farms in Mattituck, on Long Island’s North Fork. Martin and Carol Sidor have been working the farm since the 1970s, and farming is in their veins: Martin’s grandfather started growing potatoes on Long Island in 1910.

Their kettle chips are cooked in sunflower oil. One customer said she loves them because the salt and vinegar flavor isn’t too strong — it’s just right. Get ‘em before they’re gone!

We have an exciting announcement: We’ve partnered with the nonprofit project Chefs on Call to bring you home-cooked, ready-to-eat meals made by immigrant chefs from the community.

The selections include South Asian entrees of biriyani and curry, and West African dinners of dibi and attiéké. Meat, chicken, and vegetarian options are available. Each adult-size portion is $18 and each child-size portion is $9.

In this initial week, you can order up until 7pm on Wednesday, May 13, and pick up at the co-op (825 Caton Ave) on Tuesday, May 14, from 5-7pm.

Get details on the chefs and dishes and submit your order at the link in our bio, or email [email protected] for more info.

The plan is to expand the program jn the coming weeks (more options, more pickup times, even delivery).

Take a night off from cooking and support immigrant chefs in our community! Order your meal by 7pm Wednesday, and be sure to pick it up on Thursday from 5-7pm at the co-op.

Come for a visit!! All are welcome to shop (although becoming a member gives you added discounts).

If you support empowering local farmers and building community (and we know you do), please donate to the Windsor Terrace Food Coop annual fundraiser.

Even $10 will go a long way toward ensuring we can continue providing fresh, local food in the neighborhood at affordable prices and modeling a member-owned and operated business that’s thriving and sustainable. Plus, we have fun doing it!

Donate $100 and you’ll get a beautiful WTFC tote bag filled with goodies from the coop, while supplies last.

Our fundraiser ends April 30, so there’s less than a week left to reach our $3,000 goal. What are you waiting for? Go go go! Donate at the link in our bio, in the store, or on our website.
