Witnessing hunger is a heartbreaking experience. Today, I saw an older woman digging through the garbage can for thrown-away vegetables. As a minister who helps feed families and individuals, I offered her and her family fresh food through our ministry food program. It's hard to imagine not having enough money to feed yourself and your children. Unfortunately, over 3,800 families and individuals in Brooklyn are registered with the Brooklyn Rescue Mission, and hundreds come weekly for food assistance. Our Urban Harvest Center needs the help of kind donors to keep our doors open and continue feeding those in need. Please consider donating at Brmuhc.org.
