At our small saltwater farm and dairy in Downeast Maine, we milk 100 lovely Saanen, Nubian and Alpine dairy goats, all selected for their excellent-tasting milk. Because we stagger our breeding program, we are able to milk at least some goats year-round, though the main production is spring and summer.

We won't be able to come to Bar Harbor this winter season. No place to park. Church says no and ywca said no. So I guess I get the winter off. Except for Bangor and meeting in Ellsworth. Sorry but might be for the best.

European market Saturday will have dry picked cranberries. 2 pound limit. Only 25 pounds.

Quick tip. I saw a guy gassing up and washing his wiper blades. Learned a new trick. Really helped my wipers which I was going to replace. Took all the streaks off the windshield.

Over 3 million laying hens dead from influenza. My cost for eggs went up a buck. No inflation here. Retail same price, just no profit.

Darlings said I needed a new transmission in van. Harold's transmission in Holden filled the fluid up and like brand new. Wouldn't even charge me anything. If you have transmission problems go see them. Saved me 8,000 dollars.
