The Downtown Country Market has been a cherished Buffalo tradition since its establishment in 1982, offering residents and visitors a vibrant and welcoming shopping experience. wse the freshest produce and wares brought in daily from local farms, nurseries, bakers and specialty vendors. Shop for the family dinner at mid-day or add some baked goods and fresh fruit to your usual lunch routine. The Downtown Country Market is a member of The Pride of New York Program which promotes New York State products in partnership with its members, who take pride in growing, processing and selling a diverse range of food and agricultural products. All of the products offered at the Market are either grown or produced locally by each individual vendor. The market is also a member of the Farmers Market Federation of New York and the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. Buffalo Place Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 season of the Downtown Country Market, beginning Thursday, June 4, 2026! M&T Bank will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the Market’s 44th anniversary season.

The Market will operate on Thursdays, from 10am to 2pm, along Main Street at Fountain Plaza, between Huron and Chippewa Streets, and will continue through October 15, 2026. The Downtown Country Market has been a cherished Buffalo tradition since its establishment in 1982, providing residents and visitors with a lively and welcoming shopping experience. The Market features a diverse selection of goods, including fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty food items, handcrafted bath products, and more. Buffalo Place is proud to participate in several community-focused initiatives, including the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, the Field & Fork Network’s Double Up Food Bucks Program, and the Farmers Market Federation of New York.
