🤎 A LITTLE FARMSTAND UPDATE! 🤎
For the first time in quite a while… there will be NO Menu Monday this week! We have THREE birthdays this week/weekend, and I want to enjoy every second of every day with my three most special September birthdays (and one of them in my sweetest Lane turning ONE YEAR OLD.... 🥹)
We’re taking a little baking break this weekend. 🍞🤎
As summer winds down and everyone settles back into school, sports, fair season and busy fall schedules, things at the stand have naturally started to slow down a little too. Even with the smaller, more limited menus I’ve been offering, we’ve been ending our weekends with more left on the shelves than we used to.
And honestly, I think that’s my little sign to slow down for a minute too. 🤎
I absolutely LOVE baking for this little stand, and I’m so grateful for how much you all have supported it. But behind every Menu Monday is a week of planning what to make, shopping, mixing dough, timing ferments, baking, packaging, labeling, stocking, posting, checking inventory…and then immediately starting to think about the next weekend. 😂
So this weekend, I don't want to think about what needs mixed, baked, proofed, packaged or restocked.
I want to sit around and do absolutely nothing for a little bit. 😂
I want to spend time with my family. I want to go to Ramseyer’s. 🎃🍎 I want to enjoy some fall things. I want to wake up on Saturday morning without an alarm set for some ridiculous hour because cinnamon rolls need to go in the oven. 😂
Most of all, I just want a weekend where I'm not constantly thinking, “Okay… what do I need to do next?”
So, there will be NO regular farmstand bake this weekend and NO Menu Monday. The ovens, and the baker, are taking a little vacation. 🤎
But while I’m taking a break, I also want to start thinking about what comes next for the Bowman Family Farmstand.
This is our very first year doing this, which means we're learning as we go! And with cooler weather right around the corner, and winter not too far behind it 😬❄️, I would LOVE some input from all of you.
What would you like the farmstand to look like through fall and winter?
Would you still stop if we were open just ONE day each weekend?
Would you rather see us do ONE big pop-up weekend each month with a larger, special menu?
Would you be interested in preorder-only weekends where you order ahead and simply stop by to pick it up?
And most importantly...

And what would you love to see for the holidays? Thanksgiving preorders? Christmas cookie boxes? Cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning? Holiday sourdough? Giftable treat boxes?
This little farmstand has been one giant learning experience for us, and because this is our first year, I don't want to just assume what everyone will want when the seasons change. I want to hear from the people who actually shop here. 🤎
