Market day is tomorrow we be sure to checkout our vendor lineup at www.burlingtonfarmersmarket.org/summer-market-map-1 and get excited for:

We're also so grateful to be joined by NOFA-VT to help multilingual community members navigate spending 3SquaresVT at the Farmers Market. Interpreters will be available for the following languages - Somali, Maay Maay, Spanish, French, Swahili, Dari, Pashto, and Nepali.

This weekend is shaping up to be the perfect one to come see us!

🌻 Sunshine's in the forecast, and we're hitting peak produce season for our veg farms - you don't want to miss it. Plus, we just really miss your faces, so don't leave us hanging; come on down and join the farmer's market fun!

Meet this week's featured vendor, Fresh Roots Farm! 🥕 🥗 Founded by Colemann Colburn, he started Fresh Roots seven years ago on two acres of leased land on the White River in Sharon, VT. They’re now a 7 acre, certified organic vegetable farm, complete with 4 greenhouses. Fresh Roots aims to leave the soil in a better condition than when they started, and they offer an abundance of diverse, delicious and nutritious vegetables. Volunteers gain hands-on experience with BFM and support the circulation of local goods, services, and produce!

Volunteer opportunities include:

- Greeting market-goers and assisting with directions
- Assisting with market set up and breakdown

- Taking photos around the market
- Gathering data on attendance and food pricing

We’re excited to introduce Backus Distillery, another vendor who’ll be featured at this weekend’s market. 🥃

Since 2019, Backus Distillery has been a grain-to-glass producer of straight bourbon whiskey where traditional production techniques meet their harsh aging environment. The Backus barrel house was designed to maximize the barrel's exposure to the temperature shifts and changes in humidity that drive the aging process... and that we experience so acutely in Vermont (as we know all too well here at BFM). Well-made whiskey meets tumultuous northern terroir, and the result is nothing short of fantastic.
