Farmer Scott (Scott Koster) grew up on a farm - he's the son of a third generation farmer - and has spent most of his life making things grow. Growing up in Kankakee Illinois, Scott worked both on a vegetable farm and with his father (Claude Koster) growing gladiolus and strawberries. After marrying Jacqueline Koster-Furbee, in order to provide for his family Scott began a career in seed sales whi
ch led him to move to Burlington, Wisconsin. As time moved on and Scotts family grew, he slowly moved out of seed sales and back into vegetable farming. Scott and Jackie now have 2 sons, Jordan (1989) and Corban (1992) and 3 daughters Abigail (1994), Magdalene (1998) and Priscilla (2002). Everyone helps out on the farm in their own way, but it is currently run by Scott, Jordan and Corban. Geneva Lakes Produce has a farm stand (Hwy 120 and Hwy 11 in Spring Prairie), does roughly 15 farmers markets per week and does some wholesale business to other local farmers, restaurants and grocery stores. Geneva Lakes Produce focuses on providing fresh, local, safe and affordable produce to wherever there is a need for it.
