(591)

community-owned food cooperative located in beautiful downtown Burlington, Vermont. City Market is Burlington’s only downtown grocery store, open to everyone 363 days per year from 7 a.m. City Market provides a critical service to the residents of Burlington and the larger community by providing a wide variety of local, organic and conventional products at a fair price to all. We also offer a hot

and cold food bar, grab and go meals, coffee and tea, a made-to-order sandwich bar, and a deli. The Co-op is also extremely dedicated to supporting the local economy and enhancing the sustainability of agriculture. We work with over 1,000 Vermont vendors to feature the widest selection of local products in the state. 73% of the vendors we do business with are located in Vermont and over 60 cents of every dollar in sales stays here in Vermont. We are member-owned, so the profits generated by Co-op members are returned to our members through our Patronage Refund program. Patronage Refunds that are not cashed by Members are donated to a different community non-profit each year. In addition to offering our community a variety of food products, we also offer monthly food and herbal classes at a low cost to Members and non-members, including Kids' Cooking Classes and My Child and Me Cooking Classes. Check out our upcoming classes on our website: http://www.citymarket.coop/calendar

We are pleased to announce that City Market Management and the Leadership team of our Union, UE203, have come to an agreement to extend our current City Market ORC contract.

City Market has maintained a long-standing relationship with UE203 for more than 20 years. After just two sessions of negotiation, the teams came to an agreement that we all feel is fair and appropriate given the current climate of the Co-op. Our Co-op has consistently shown a resilience, willingness and ability to rise to the occasion. We are hopeful that, together, we will work even more closely as we navigate an uncertain future. 🧅
