North Park Farmers' Market provides residents with fresh, healthy food and nutrition education, while allowing farmers to sell locally. The North Park Farmers' Market (NPFM) was born out of a recognition that there are no grocery stores in the neighborhood around North Park, which makes it difficult for residents to access healthy food. Impact Alamance, Healthy Alamance, and the City of Burlington

came together in June 2015 to begin developing the NPFM, and soon accrued many more community partners, including faith organizations, the Health Department, the Alamance County Libraries, NC State Extension, the Farm Bureau, the school system, local residents, local farmers, and many others. The market operates under the only permanent farmers' market shelter in Alamance County and runs every Tuesday, 3:00-6:00 p.m. If you are an interested vendor, please contact Ann Meletzke, [email protected]

Not only will the NPFM be a venue for fresh food, but it also offers culinary/nutrition classes, cooking demonstrations, health and wellness lectures, internship opportunities for high school students, and a community photo project.
