Anyone love basil as much as me??💚 alongside the delicious celery salt I’ve been making, I’ve been making basil salt for our Italian nights, chicken, shrimp in a butter sauce, grilled veggies, and more. I’ve been hoarding it since I have a limited amount.

Because I put a ton of basil seeds in the ground I’m going to sell a few to the first basil lovers who want to try it! There’s a lot of basil in every jar! 🍝🍝🍤🍗

Last up on the crew aside from myself is a true blessing we found this year. Insert Cynthia!

🌼 Cynthia joined our crew just recently and we are pretty lucky.

🌼 she has jumped right in with learning all the things from greenhouse work, gardening, taking care of the milk cows, and even teaching our kids Spanish!

🌼 Her children have become pretty comfortable on the homestead. Sara is learning all about horses and Eric likes to help Wren dig in the garden! They have been so fun for the short time they’ve been here.

🌼 Cynthia does a great job helping keep everything clean and taken care of around here.

🌼 I can’t forget to mention the excellent food she brings for us to try! 🤤

🌼I must add she has become a friend to us here on our homestead. Thank you, Cynthia for jumping in with two feet and helping us on our homestead.

Next up we have the wonderful Wren

⛏️This kid is on the ball during mosquito season or actually about everyday. He’s the one who starts that small fire in the gardens to keep the pests away while we work! It’s genius and it really works!

⛏️You can also find him moving hoses and sprinklers regularly. He’s often excavating the gardens with his toys and I love it!!

🪖Wren is a lover of nature and exploring. Don’t be alarmed if you see him in full military gear. This is almost daily attire for this kid! If he’s not wearing that, he may have a hard hat and pick axe ⛏️ and exploring the hills or trees.

🌲 He’s such a loving kid to his family and everyone really. He’s always lending a helping hand.

🏍️If you hear a noise and only see a string of dust, it was probably Wren zooming by on his dirt bike or go kart. He’s really living his best life. I’m so proud to call him my son! ❤️

I couldn’t pass up using a picture of a mine we went to because, well, he’s infatuated with them and being a miner. Not pictured is his pick axe because that was not something he left home 😂❤️👏🏼

Let’s meet the crew:

First up is Keelin.

🌼Keelin is 14 and a top hand. She has a lot of knowledge in the gardens. She knows how to get the best out of your garden by companion planting, pest control (naturally), growing luscious crops, and w**d management. She is a gem to work beside.

🌼When she’s not in the gardens you can always find her near the barn. She is the milk cow whisperer and a friend to any animal that occupies the barn. She trains colts including ponies and she has a real gift in this department!

🌼 If you go to a rodeo you just may see her behind the bucking chutes getting ready to ride a steer or even a bull. 🐂 Keelin is also a top hand on the ranch. She just happens to be our beautiful daughter too. Did I mention she knows her way around the kitchen as well! She loves to cook and bake!

❤️ I chose a picture of Keelin with the horse thunder, who we bought untouched and very wild, who got to go to the black hills with us and he was near perfect!

Way to go Keelin on all of your abilities!!

🪴 I do have a few tomatoes and peppers left. I also have a few other plants.

Don’t forget today is the day I sell some of my plants to you!! These are some beautiful hand selected options I picked for my garden this year! Everything started from seed and grown with love! We are offering this deal as I got a little grow happy and don’t have room for everything!

I didn’t know until right now what I’ve been missing out on!

Cynthia made some delicious conchas for my family to try! If you have not tried these you are also missing out! 🤤🤤 They are like a sweet bread I’d call it but delicate and not overly sweet. The top is flaky, sweet, and a bit crisp and they are perfection! 👌🏼

In fact they are so good she is going to make up a fresh batch to sell tomorrow when we sell plants! If you want some I’d come early before they are gone or Keelin and Wren eat them all!!🔥🌼

I also think there will be 5 to a container. Sorry we dove in before I could snap a picture! 😂

🌱 Keelin still can’t believe I’m offering this but here it officially goes!!

🍅 I think I over planted some things in our homestead greenhouse!
We are going to offer some of these items for sale! What we are selling are extras of what we plant in our gardens!

🫑 I have sorted through and set out what we can sell. Once they are gone, that’s it!

☀️On the bright side, you are getting my favorite HEIRLOOM tomatoes and peppers plus more that I hand select, start from seed, grow, harvest, preserve, and sell. (With zero chemicals used)

🌶️ If you want to get your garden in on some of these beautiful performers here’s the chance!

The list of things we have: (not including all the varieties but can answer any questions you have)-

▪️ tomatoes 🍅
▪️peppers (sweet and hot)
▪️cucumbers
▪️eggplant
▪️ cauliflower
▪️watermelons
▪️cantaloupe
▪️some herbs
🌿 oregano, sage, chives, lemon balm.. I will have more variety later
▪️celery (must have in the garden)
▪️leeks

I have a total of about 80 tomatoes to sell and close to the same with peppers.

I have some seed potatoes (organic) to sell as well as a few onions (started from seed)

Speaking of celery… our celery salt is pretty good I’ve been told 😉
Some have used for:
fried chicken (the best)
Soups
Fish
Red beers
Bloody Mary’s
On the grill, etc.
So we have a fresh batch for sale!
🌼 maybe I’ll set out some dandelion salve too!

We are swamped in work right now and here’s the only day we are able to sell for the week or so!
