I went to the local butcher today and had a proper chat about the best way to cook a roast. You just do not get that kind of service and knowledge at a massive supermarket. A real butcher is a craftsman who knows exactly where his meat came from and takes pride in every cut. Now, it feels like the younger generation is happy to settle for tasteless meat wrapped in layers of unnecessary plastic from a cold supermarket shelf. We are losing the heart of our high streets and the skills of our local tradesmen for the sake of a few pence.

The modern crowd argues that supermarkets are more convenient because you can get everything in one place under bright lights. They say they do not have the time to visit separate shops during their busy week. But traditionalists know that quality and community are worth the extra few minutes. Common sense tells us that supporting a local business keeps money in our own town and ensures we are eating real food, not something processed in a factory. Once these independent shops are gone, they are never coming back. We are trading our heritage for a self service checkout experience.

We want to Thank Everyone who supported us on St. Pat’s day. We had a fun and successful day.
So many polite and fun college kids and overall a good time was had by all.
