Vermont's Free Ice Fishing Day will take place on January 31, 2026. This annual event allows anyone, regardless of whether they have a fishing license, to ice fish on any waterbody open to ice fishing in Vermont. The Ice Fishing Festival will be held at Elmore State Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where participants can learn ice fishing skills, enjoy a fish fry, and participate in various activities.

Whether you're going to the festival on Elmore, or hitting the ice on Curtis, Number 10, or elsewhere, swing through the store for hot food, cold beer, and of course, fishing bait and tackle!
