Do You Like Cal In Marshals?
Cal quickly became one of the most complicated characters in Marshals because underneath the confidence and leadership is a man carrying years of guilt, pressure, and emotional damage.
At first, Cal seemed like the steady leader holding the team together.
But as the season unfolded, fans started realizing how much pain he was hiding beneath the surface.
Especially after the truth about Roner finally came out.
For years, Kayce blamed Cal for abandoning Roner during the Afghanistan mission. Then Episode 11 completely changed everything by revealing that Cal only gave the retreat order because Garrett told him Roner was already dead.
And instead of exposing Garrett, Cal carried the guilt himself all those years.
That revelation changed how many fans saw him instantly.
Because suddenly Cal no longer felt cold or distant.
He felt exhausted.
Logan Marshall-Green plays that emotional weight perfectly. Even when Cal says very little, you can feel the pressure sitting on him in almost every scene.
And now, after Garrett’s death, the tension with Kayce, and everything happening around Broken Rock, Cal feels like someone dangerously close to breaking under the weight of everything he has been carrying.
