This week brought a steady stream of deliveries as dining room tables, chairs, booths, produce fixtures, and more arrived in the new space. Shopper bathrooms are being finished, coolers are being set, and the final details are taking shape throughout the dining area.
Meanwhile, our team has been hard at work adding two new aisles, rearranging products, assembling produce displays, and preparing departments for their new homes.
One of the most rewarding parts of this stage is seeing spaces that were recently construction zones start to look and feel like part of the store. Every day, there's something new in place.
We're not quite done yet, but each week brings a noticeable change and we can't wait to share it with you!

Today, we honor and remember the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

City Center Market is open today until 5 PM, closing a little early this evening so our staff can spend time with family, friends, and loved ones.

Big thanks to our wonderful bookstore neighbors, Scout & Morgan Books, for sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what our expansion project looks like from their perspective! We’re so grateful for supportive neighbors and a community that continues to cheer us on through the construction dust 😊

If you’re out and about this Memorial Day weekend, be sure to stop in and show them some love while you’re downtown! Independent bookstores make communities special, and we’re lucky to have such great neighbors next door. 📚💚

Construction Update:

We are getting so close to the finish line, and we can't wait to share your beautifully updated co-op with you!

What to expect over the next week: Crews will be working hard on the final concrete polishing. Because this part of the process can get a bit noisy, we have placed complimentary earplugs in all entryways for your comfort while you shop. Please feel free to grab a pair on your way in!

We are thrilled to announce that all major indoor construction is on track to be completely finished by June 12th. Take a look at these photos of our current progress on the produce sales floor, bakery & deli sales floor, brand new seating area, updated bathrooms, and the new conference room.

Thank you so much for your continued patience, understanding, and support as we build a better shopping experience for you! We are almost there!
