So, the calendar says September, but your farmers are harvesting such an array of fresh vegetables and fruits right now. And that is on top of all the dairy (three different kinds represented!), breads, breakfast foods- from egg sandwiches, to bagels, to fruit galettes, to cinnamon buns…the meats and fish…the mushrooms…the granola, the cookies, the honey, the maple syrup, the flowers, the c*d products, the hand woven shawls, the native perennials, the list goes on and on. It’s going to be another beautiful and delicious morning in Tannery Park. Come join us!

A friendly reminder about our Wednesday Market this afternoon. Coast to Coast Salmon, Hubbard Brook Farm, Scalawag Farm, Red Stove Farm and Provisions, and Wildwoods Bakery will be hosting you this week. Grab dinner and dessert, (picnic, anyone?), something for breakfast, vegetables, fruits, salmon and other sea-based treats, goat’s milk, and cheese. It’s a delightful afternoon in the park!

Hello, Farmer’s Market friends. Here is your weekly reminder for the fantabulous Camden Farmer’s Market in Tannery Park from 9 to noon. It is every Saturday until the end of October. It is hard to convey just how full of wonderful fruits, vegetables, and all manner of tasty items on offer here, and it is impossible to share how convivial the atmosphere: a local musician or two, children running about, friends crossing paths, all in the context of supporting your taste buds, your physical and spiritual health, and your local economy and food system. You need to experience it in real time. Neighbors grow for neighbors. Neighbors support local farms. And it is all delicious. How great is that?

Tomorrow, 8/26, from 3:30-6, the Wonderful Wednesday Camden Farmers Market will be in full swing. Not only can you enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by Red Stove Farm & Provisions they are also offering prepared meals to take home and heat up!!! Coast to Coast Salmon will be there with wild caught salmon and a few other products from the sea. Hubbard Brook Farm will have ALL the fruit and veg. Scalawag Farm has the goat cheese and goat’s milk angle covered. And Wildwoods Bakery will have dessert ready for you as well as all the breakfast treats to go with your coffee the next morning. We look forward to seeing you and thank you so much for supporting our Wednesday Market!

A reminder that the market in Tannery Park will be bursting with fresh, delicious, local fruit and vegetables tomorrow from 9-noon. We will also have chicken, beef, pork, salmon, goat cheese and milk, cow’s milk, sourdough breads, scones, bagels, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, fruit turnovers, brownies, shortbread, granola, bouquets of flowers, handwoven shawls, c*d oil, honey, maple syrup, fruit preserves, water buffalo yogurt, mushrooms, perennials, and SO MUCH MORE. We are brimming over with local bounty this week. Plus all the extras that make our market so sweet AND on top of that we are hosting the Harvest Bowl fundraiser. It’s such a fun event to raise money for local food access. We are in Tannery Park from 9-noon. Come meet the wonderful folks at the Maine Federation of Farmers Markets and learn about the fundraiser and how it helps farmers get their food into the kitchens of more of your neighbors. Enjoy a free community meal. If you make a donation (sliding scale), select a handmade ceramic bowl kindly donated by one of many Maine artisans who make this event so special. These pieces are beautiful! We look forward to seeing you!

This is a great time to shop for extra vegetables and fruit to can or freeze. This will remind you of the sweet summer time in the depths of winter and your winter-weary self will thank you! Plus, homemade pickles, preserves, and chutneys make excellent holiday gifts. The Camden Farmers Market is full to the brim with vegetables and fruit. It’s a great time to start buying extra to can and freeze. Opening a homemade chutney, pickle, or preserve is very good for the winter time soul.
