I wanted to be transparent with our community about what has been happening with Upstream lately.
About 10 days ago, Matt was bitten by a Lone Star tick. Within just a couple of days, the symptoms began — and I can honestly say this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever seen him go through. He has been dealing with extreme fatigue, memory issues, and significant cognitive disruption.
He has an appointment with a specialist in Lebanon in mid-June. She is very difficult to get into, but we are hopeful after hearing about the amazing results she has had helping patients with tick-borne illnesses.
In the meantime, our incredible staff and I are doing everything we can to keep things running while Matt focuses on resting and healing at home. We know there have been a few hiccups along the way, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate this.
These tick-borne allergies and illnesses are affecting more and more people in our community, and we are learning just how serious they can be.
As we continue through this journey, we simply ask for kindness, patience, and understanding. Your support means more than you know.
