Farmstand Offerings - Plant Starters, Pear Butter, Happy Dragon Hot Sauce and More!
This past Saturday was our very first week offering our Little Bee Honey Sweetened Ice Cream at the Camp Verde Farmers Market, and it was awesome. There is something so special about being surrounded by people who are growing, baking, creating, raising, and sharing good things with others. We met so many kind locals and fellow vendors, and it was so cool to see the passion and creativity behind what they do. Set up right next to us was a booth with the most beautiful organic sourdough and across the way was homemade yogurt! Both were incredible and we couldn't leave without bringing some home along with other goods. It all was amazing and such a special treat! Iโve already been thinking about what goodies I want to try this coming week. Verde Valley Farmers Market 8am-11am on Saturdays. Back at home, the garden is absolutely bursting with life right now ๐ฟ Everything seems to be stretching toward the sun overnight. The tomatoes are taking off, flowers are blooming, and the whole space feels especially magical. We also have a variety of plant starters available for anyone wanting to get a garden going of their own. There is still time to plant and enjoy a summer garden here in the Verde Valley.
One sweet moment from this week involved Simon and a young chick ๐ฅ At the farmers market, Simon bought 10 young chickens from a local girl who raises chicks. One of them somehow got caught in a small divide in the enclosure overnight. Simon found the little thing in the morning weak and exhausted, and spent time carefully warming it up and nursing it back to health. He tried settling it down with his sibling but they kept sitting on her so he decided to swaddle her up and wear her while he was working on the property. It was the cutest thing, Simon loves his chickens so much. It is so sweet. The chick is doing great and thriving now. I caught a photo of them that you can see below.

P.S. I am planning on having Pixie Pies available in the coming months and Pecan Pesto as soon as the Basil is popping! Also who is up for bringing back Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream? I'll keep you posted. Be sure to follow us on social media too for updates.
