I don’t know where to even start.
It’s been an amazing journey this last three years. Palisa Huber and myself have enjoyed every minute of starting and hosting the Campbell Missouri farmer's market. The vendors, the customers, the hometown feeling of all the people visiting and having the best time. It has truly been a joy and an honor.
Today was Palisa and myself last market to host. Took a lot of prayers and tears for us to come to this decision. It is a lot of work, it’s well worth it, but it’s time to give it to someone who hopefully loves it the way we have.
There will still be a fall festival in Campbell, the one that Main Street puts on that coincides with the alumni reunion is a wonderful day in town and I hope our vendors that haven’t done it before will give it a try. It’s always a good day also. Also, crosspoint will still have their Christmas one in November at the community building.
Christmas…that one’s also tough to not do. The joy that it brings to us, and brings to everyone who attends is priceless. It is well worth all the time that goes into it, we definitely are blessed by it.
We are not walking totally away, if the next people need any help we would both love to volunteer.
I wish I had the words to convey the appreciation we have for every ounce of help we have had along the way. From the vendors jumping in to help us and the way they help each other has blown us away. They trusted two ladies who had no idea what they were doing. The customers always showing up, no matter the weather. The way you have all helped to get the word out. Because of all of you we turned an empty lot into a blessing, a place to make new friends, visit with old friends and of course all the eating!
Thank you to everyone that helped with Christmas, whether it was cooking for us to feed the crowd, helping serve the food, paint the faces, decorate out in the cold at 6 in the morning, I love you all for meeting my requests with an “I’d love to help”
I don’t feel like I’ve said enough, I don’t think it’s possible to type out all our appreciation. Just know from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
I’m sure that the future of the market and Christmas will be just as bright under new hosts, but we sure are going to miss all of it. We will be helping if needed and of course we will be attending them all.
Much love and appreciation, Kimberly Allison Huber and Palisa Huber
