🎃 At 6pm tonight (Saturday) we are adding more slots for the Fill-A-Pumpkin Event on Sunday, September 20. We will have limited availability.

This is a special flower u-pick event where you will get to pick your own flowers from the field and arrange them into a pumpkin! Registration is required to attend and can be done at gillamsproduce.com/store at 6pm tonight.

💐 We will have fall themed bouquets tomorrow morning at the Canton Main Street farmers market tomorrow morning (Saturday) 7:30-11am.

We will NOT be there next weekend (9/19), so be sure to stock up! We have selected some of the longest lasting flowers we grow so you can hopefully get a few more days of life out of them. We will also have some gladiolus and dried broom corn available.

Farming is so humbling. No matter how much planning you do there will always be some sort of obstacle to pivot around. This year the dahlias aren’t producing well, so they have been used only for special requests. This week we got one requesting pinks, and I knew these dahlias would be perfect to add in!

I’m so thankful to have these at all because I truly thought they were all goners last month when they got drenched with 10 inches of rain. Some farms not too far from here weren’t so lucky and had a total loss. The best news is that we’ll be able to dig up the plants at the end of the season and divide them up to have even more for next season!

I love the seasonality of growing flowers and produce. Each day the scenery changes, and sometimes things are gone almost as soon as they have arrived. This makes this business so special and is part of its allure. All of the products we have are grown locally and are seasonal. You won’t find fresh flowers or veggies here in the Winter, which helps our business be more sustainable for us and the Earth. We try to enjoy and savor each flower, apple, pepper, pumpkin, etc at its prime.

Our followers are the reason we are able to do this each year. Thank you for supporting our small business and opting for local when it’s available! 🌻
