Carnation Farmers Market is an independent charitable and educational organization with 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Our mission includes cultivating vibrant community, connecting farmers and eaters, and educating the public about farming and nourishment. Each Tuesday of the season, rain or shine, we gather

at the Tolt Commons Lawn and Community Shelter to provide shoppers a safe and reliable venue to get nutritious local food. We create a welcoming and inclusive environment by offering a variety of free programs for people of all ages: Music on the Grass Concert Series (two live performances each Market day), PoP Kids Club (weekly educational activities and free $2 tokens to purchase fruits & vegetables), Community Spotlight Booths (free space for community groups to engage with the public), hands-on art activities, food access programs, and special events. For the 2023 Season, we are open every Tuesday in June, July, and August from 3pm to 7pm (closed July 4th)

๐ŸŒฑ Seniors: Get $80 for Fresh Produce! ๐Ÿ“

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides eligible seniors with $80 in vouchers to spend at participating farmers markets across King County, including Carnation Farmers Market.

What is SFMNP?
This program helps low income seniors access fresh, local produce while supporting local farmers. Funding comes from the USDA and Washington State. Enjoy seasonal fruits and vegetables, connect with local growers, and eat well all summer long.

Who is eligible? You must meet all of the following:
-Age 60+ (or 55+ if American Indian or Alaska Native) by June 15, 2026
Income at or below:
-$2,413/month ($28,953/year) for one person
-$3,261/month ($39,128/year) for two people
-Add $848/month for each additional household member
-King County resident

Important dates:
-Application open April 6 through May 8, 2026
-Cards mailed in June 2026

Our date and location for 2026 have been set! Join us on March 21st, this year at Tolt Middle School!

We are excited for this new venue which has a large *indoor* space for us to use. Expect to find all the things you've come to love from previous seed exchanges with hopefully a few new things!

Carnation and the surrounding Snoqualmie Valley have a deep and enduring agriculture heritage, with businesses that continue to shape the communityโ€™s identity and local economy.

Carnation Farmers Market is seeking a part-time Education Coordinator to oversee and expand our education-focused program offerings, including but not limited to our Power of Produce Kids Program.

The Education Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing CFMโ€™s Power of Produce (PoP) Kids Club and other educational activities, representing CFM through community outreach, and supporting overall market operations.

The Education Coordinator will develop and execute weekly activities for CFMโ€™s Power of Produce (PoP) Kids Club and coordinate and support education and outreach programming.

This position is about 10-15 hours per week, with required on-site hours every Tuesday during the market season (June, July, August 2026) from 1:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Education Coordinator must also be on-site for various events. The rest of the work is flexible and can be done remotely.

Weโ€™re looking for someone who is:
- Creative, organized, and self-motivated
- Passionate about community-building and working with diverse groups (especially youth)
- Comfortable coordinating programs and activities
- Proficient with email, social media, and project management tools

Recent flooding has impacted many members of our Carnation Farmers Market community, along with neighbors across the Snoqualmie Valley and Western Washington. Farmers, families, and small businesses are navigating loss, cleanup, and the long road to recovery.

We are officially looking for vendors for our 2026 season at Carnation Farmers Market!

If you are a vendor looking for a welcoming and community centered market where shoppers truly value local food, we would love to hear from you! We are a food and farm-product only market, and we are excited to bring even more local growers and makers to our market next summer.

Apply before January 1st and we will waive the application fee!

Our 2026 season runs every Tuesday in June, July, and August from 3 to 7pm at King Countyโ€™s Tolt-MacDonald Park, with Opening Day on June 2nd.
