We all come from ancient civilizations who practiced beautiful culture around the timing of plants, fermentation, social celebrations and community.
You can find a million different definitions for culture on the net. One is that culture means a particular set of customs, morals, codes and traditions from a specific time and place.
Most of these ancient practices where not just for fun but kept a tribe or group healthy in mind body and spirit (of course there are examples of unhealthy practices too).
It feel like we have allowed our culture in this country to slowly be taken over by corporations and floods of products. Purchasing habits, consumption and the way we do life is now embedded with these unhealthy interests representing big business. Holidays (Thanksgiving, Birthdays, Christmas, 4th), music, food, clothing etc....
I feel like we could have a profound impact on creating new healthy culture removing these practices from our family culture and replacing them with those that are in line with the creator and all the wisdom of old. From taking on the hard work of being accountable for each of our own existence and the consumption required to sustain it. Many hands make light work.
How do we share our talents with the rest of the world and work together in community to have our own production of things we know are good for the earth and a tribute to the creator who gifted us with this beautiful ship that floats through the universe as the true symbol of sustainability.
We must remove these practices from our everyday lives and stack them in a giant pile together and watch it burn into ashes as it falls apart.
If we could do that together, we would see the rise of a aw inspiring Phoenix of change. A beautiful bird of fire to cleanse our hearts, our minds and the earth alike.
Sadly our farm is not compatible in the financial system that exists in this country. Most systems that are designed to assist in truly healthy culture (for us and the earth) are not compatible with the financial system we have created in this country. For that reason we will be shutting down production after this growing season.
