Heat and H**p Farms
Statement of Purpose

Most businesses issue a Mission Statement to lay out their future. I was going to do this for our farm and then realized we don't have a mission. We have a purpose. This can be considered Heat and H**p Farms Statement of Purpose.

As our name implies we currently specialize in h**p and hot peppers, with plans to expand into the medical ma*****na field when we are able. Our purpose is to use the land to improve not only our lives but the lives of those in our community. Through h**p, whether it be industrial or flower, we can not only improve the economic quality of life for the people in our area but also the quality of life for future generations by growing a crop that actually benefits nature. When h**p is grown outside it cleans any impurities out of the soil and cleans carbon from our air. Products made from h**p clean the air, leaving a smaller carbon footprint, if any at all. Not only does this plant have the potential to replenish nature, but the medicinal properties of cannabinoids such as CBD and CBG are too numerous with too many benefits to list here.

The cannabis plants, h**p and ma*****na, have the potential to bring Mississippi into the 21st Century. With the economic opportunities these plants will bring to our area we will be able to focus some of those funds into our education system, ensuring we have the bright minds needed to solve the problems we face in our world today. These plants have not only the potential to save our local communities and our state, but possibly the world. We personally are tired of our State being the punchline of jokes and considered one of the most behind the times places in our country by those looking in from the outside. We want our state and its residents to be respected. The only way to achieve this is by economic improvement. We plan to be directly involved and do everything in our power to promote this industry and increase our state's GDP to one equivalent with a small country. We have been here since this industry was allowed in Mississippi and we plan to stay here for as long as we are capable. We will continue to promote both h**p and medical ma*****na until the benefits of these plants are appreciated and the economic impact can be seen.

Our second specialty is hot and super hot peppers. We grow the hottest peppers on the planet including the current World Record holder for hottest chili pepper, three former World Record holders, and the pepper currently under review for Hottest in the World. We strive to be the premiere hot pepper farm in Mississippi and eventually the Southeast. Expanding our varieties each season to include new flavor profiles, colors and heat levels. Our purpose is to expand the awareness of the many culinary uses of the different types of hot peppers and to satisfy the needs of anyone who seeks out the hottest around. We have the capability of providing fresh pepper pods to the individual, restaurants, or hot sauce makers. We also make our own pepper sauces and pepper jellies from our hot and super hot peppers. Our peppers range in heat from the Jalapeno to the World Record holder. We have red, orange, yellow, white, chocolate, peach and purple colored peppers with a wide range of flavor profiles. We can accommodate the average pepper lover to the most savage of pepperheads as this season we have 31 separate strains of hot/super hot peppers. Anyone under the impression there isn’t anything too hot hasn’t experienced our peppers, as we can assure you that we have the hottest peppers on the planet. We also have sweet peppers including California Wonder Green Bell, California Wonder Golden Bell, Big Bertha Red Bell, White Zinfandel Bell, Purple Beauty Bell and Sweet Banana for those who want to enjoy peppers but aren’t looking for the heat. Our goal is to introduce new peppers into our region and have the capabilities to provide fresh peppers to anyone in our region or across the United States.

Heat and H**p Farms
2022 Pepper List

**SHU ratings are baseline averages, Our peppers may exceed the estimated ratings on certain strains. Anyone with a heart condition should avoid hot and super hot peppers as they have the potential to be fatal to those individuals

**Scoville Heat Unit (SHU)- A measurement of the number of times capsaicin needs to be diluted by sugar water to become inert.

Hot/Super Hot Peppers

Jalapeno 2,500-10,000 SHU Slightly smokey, earthy flavor. One of the most common and well known peppers, Similar in taste to a Serrano pepper, only with less heat.

Monster Jalapeno 2,500-10,000 SHU Slightly smokey, earthy flavor. A larger version of the Jalapeno ideal for stuffed peppers and pepper sauces.

Black Pearl (ornamental) 10,000-30,000 SHU Faint citrus flavor. A gorgeous ornamental pepper plant with dark foliage and clusters of shiny black pea to marble sized peppers that mature into a bright red. Winner of the 2006 All-American Selection Award and the 2005 Flueroselect Quality Mark. Slightly above average, slow building heat that burns for an extremely long time.

Cayenne Red 15,000-20,000 SHU Intense and hot flavor. Another well known and commonly used chili pepper. It brings a medium heat with a neutral, peppery flavor when fresh. But it is even more popular dried and can be found in most kitchens. This is most likely the hottest pepper the average person has experienced as it is the most widely used hot pepper in cooking.

Golden Cayenne 15,000-20,000 SHU Intense and hot flavor. A bright yellow version of the cayenne that ripens into a deep golden yellow. Flavor and heat are similar to the Red Cayenne.

Long Purple Cayenne 15,000-20,000 SHU Intense and hot flavor. A beautiful variant of the Cayenne with its pearly dark purple color. Taste and heat are similar to the Red Cayenne.

Hellapeno 15,000-30,000 SHU Sweet, nutty, and earthy. Complex flavor. One of the hotter Jalapeno types. Resembles a miniature Jalapeno and has thick walls and is very juicy. They start green and then ripen to a dark purple and then blood red. The initial flavor is sweet before the heat sets in, which is slow building and long lasting.

Tabasco 30,000-50,000 SHU Unique smokey flavor. A small and very hot pepper famous for the hot sauce of the same name. Beautiful colors as they ripen from white to yellow, orange, and red. The most commonly used pepper for pepper sauce aside from the Jalapeno.

Ghostly Jalapeno 30,000-50,000 SHU Fruity and floral flavor. Unique pepper that is the result of a Jalapeno/Ghost pepper cross. Heat levels comparable to a Cayenne, although slightly hotter, with a fruity/floral taste.

Aji Charapita 50,000-100,000 SHU Fruity and citrus flavor. This is a beautiful and one of a kind pepper. Native to the North Peruvian jungle, these peppers are small (.25 in) round peppers that aren’t terribly hot but have an immediate fruity heat that fades quickly. This pepper adds a nice flavor profile to salsas and hot sauces. This pepper is still a contender for most expensive pepper in the world due to it only recently being grown commercially outside of Peru and the difficulty of sourcing them outside their native country.

Yellow Devils Tongue 125,000-350,000 SHU Sweet, fruity and citrus flavor. A member of the Habanero family and resembles a Fatali pepper. It has comparable heat to the Fatali with a sweeter and fruitier flavor profile. Great for sauces and salsas.

White Devils Tongue 150,000-300,000 SHU Hot and fruity. Curvy, pendant shaped peppers with a pointed end. Makes a great looking hot sauce or salsa, slightly less heat than a Habanero with a sweeter flavor profile.

Pimenta Jolokia Fire/Ice 200,000-300,000 SHU Citrus Ghost flavor. A version of a Bhut Jolokia/Pimenta de Neyde cross. A unique cream and iridescent light purple, very similar to a Pink Tiger but much thicker and smoother.

Lemon Habanero 200,000-300,500 SHU Fruity with quick Habanero heat. The Lemon Habanero is one of the most visually appealing Habaneros. Similar in heat and taste to other Habaneros. Great for adding heat and color to any dish, salsa or hot sauce.

Paper Lantern Habanero 200,000-350,000 SHU Sweet and fruity. Same heat as an average Habanero, but a larger pod with thin walls. Great pepper for drying so it is ideal for peppers, rubs and seasonings.

Pink Tiger x Peach Bhut 300,000 SHU Sweet and fruity. An extremely beautiful chili pepper. Ripens from greenish purple to a peach purple iridescent glow like color. Sweet and fruity flavor similar to a Peach Bhut Ghost.

Trinidad Viper Brown 300,000-400,000 SHU Quick heat, fruity and pleasant. Beautiful peppers, shaped like melting wax with a scorpion pointed tail. Very quick heat and a fruity, pleasant taste. Similar in heat and flavor to a Habanero.

Caribbean Red Habanero 400,000-450,000 SHU Fruity, pungent, citrusy, slightly smoky. One of the hottest Habaneros around, they originate from the Yucatan area of Mexico. The level of heat produced by this pepper is the threshold for the average person.

Purple Ghost Scorpion 600,000-800,000 SHU Fruity Ghost flavor. This pepper is a cross between a Purple Bhut Jolokia and the Butch T Scorpion. The pods resemble a Habanero and are red with purple accents when fully ripe. The purple streaking and striping on the inside of the pod make these peppers unique. It is claimed the SHU is close to one million but 800,000 SHU seems to be a more realistic peak. The fact remains it is still exceptionally hot.

Peaches n Cream Ghost 700,000-1 million SHU Sweet Bhut flavor. A cross of a smooth White Ghost and a rough Peach Ghost which created a smooth Peach Ghost. Resembles a Peach Habanero but is much hotter. Typical Ghost flavor and heat. Good option for hot sauce makers.

Fools Gold Scorpion 1 million SHU Very fruity and citrus flavor. A yellow variety of the Trinidad Chocolate Scorpion that surfaced in 2019, genetics may possibly still be unstable but the heat and flavor remain. Pods are generally pendant shaped and look similar to a Yellow Ghost but much hotter.

Yellow Naga Viper 1 million+ SHU Slightly floral, strong citrus flavor. A yellow variety of the famous Naga Viper, large pods with more kick than a Yellow Bhut Jolokia.

White Ghost 1 million+ SHU Sweet Bhut flavor, slightly bitter. Comparable heat to other Ghost varieties, the White Ghost is rare and beautiful. Good for hot sauce or pepper sauce as they have a sweet taste with hints of bitterness.

Red Ghost 1 million+ Bitter heat. Awarded Hottest Chili in the World in 2006. One of the most well known super hot peppers, although it has been surpassed many times in SHU, it is still a must for any hot sauce makers or anyone curious about stepping into the world of super hot peppers.

BORG 9 Chocolate 1 million+ SHU Very fruity, slightly earthy and floral flavor. A chocolate variant of the BORG 9 chili. The creator of this chili is Jon Harper of the United Kingdom. He first made the 7 Pot Bubblegum which is known for the color of the pepper bleeding up the stem. This is a Moruga Scorpion/Yellow 7 Pot cross. Later he crossed the 7 Pot Bubblegum into the Naglah(Bhut Jolokia/7 Pot Douglah). This became known as the BORG 9. No official testing has been done but it is believed by some to be one of the hottest chilis in the world.

Super Hot Beast 1-1.2 million SHU Floral Scorpion flavor. The result of a cross between Datil and Madame Jeanette chili peppers, it has a floral Scorpion flavor and slightly hotter than a Ghost.

Death Spiral 1.2 million SHU Fruity with citrus notes. Also known as the Death Pepper, this pepper is a variant of the Naga Bubblegum Red cross. It has a quick burn and is hotter than most Naga types.

Trinidad Moruga Scorpion 1.2-2.009 million SHU Fruity and flavorful. Awarded World’s Hottest Pepper in 2012, native to the areas of Moruga in Trinidad and Tobago. Amazing flavor if you can enjoy it through the extreme heat.

Komodo Dragon 1.4 million SHU Sweet, fruity fire. This pepper has a delicious fruity flavor, with around a ten second delay before the eruption of fire.

Butch T Scorpion 1,463,700 SHU Fruity, slightly acidic. Insane heat. Former record holder for World’s Hottest Chili Pepper, bred in Analise, Mississippi. These peppers are fruity and slightly acidic, with extreme heat.

7 Pot Chocolate Brain Strain 1.5-2 million SHU Face melting smokey, deep sweet earthy flavor. The chocolate variation of the nuclear hot 7 Pot Red Brain Strain. This is perfect for dark hot sauces if you are looking for ridiculous heat.

Butch T Reaper Scorpion 1.8 million SHU Deathly heat, floral and citrus flavor. This peppers parents are the Carolina Reaper and the Trinidad Moruga Butch T Scorpion. Which is the current record holder and a former record holder for hottest pepper in the world. It resembles a Moruga Scorpion with a very floral and citrus flavor followed by soul-crushing heat.

Reaper 2.1 million+ SHU Sweet and fruity. This pepper was awarded the Guinness World Record in November of 2013 for the hottest hybrid chili in the world. With a bottom line of 1.5 million SHU and a peak of 2.2 million+ SHU it is to date the official hottest pepper on the planet. The original cross was between two former World Record Holders, the Ghost Pepper and the Red Savina Habanero. With an amazingly sweet and fruity taste it is followed by an indescribable heat that leaves many shell-shocked.

Dragons Breath- Does fire have flavor? Named for the symbol of Wales, United Kingdom- the Welsh Dragon. It is believed to unofficially be the world's hottest pepper with a reported peak heat of 2.48 million SHU. No official test have been performed, but this is without a doubt the hottest pepper we grow. Cutting a pod will take your breath away from the aggressive odor of capsaicin and the oil will pool on the inside of the pod when cut open. If the oil contacts skin it will leave the equivalent of a chemical burn. The rumors are true and the hype is real. This pepper is only for the most savage of pepper heads.

First set of hot and super hots have been cycled out of the grow tent and the second set is in the tent. The last of our seeds will be in by the end of this week and in the grow tent. We will be adding the Hellapeno(15,000-30,000 SHU), Lemon Habanero(200,000-300,500SHU), and the Caribbean Red Habanero(400,000-450,000 SHU). The Caribbean Red is one of the hottest Habnero peppers out there. I will be posting an updated grow list for this season with more detailed descriptions of each pepper sometime this week.

Just wanted to post an update since we have been so busy lately. All of the pepper strains on our 2022 Grow List have all sprouted and are thriving in our grow room. Currently planning on having a small lot (20-30 plants) of h**p for CBD flower this year unless we are able to finalize a deal for a larger area of h**p.

My nephews teammate who said nothing was too hot after eating ghost pepper and being able to handle it. Beware the Dragons Breath. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
