Chicken Row Market houses a collection of BOuTiQuE vendors ranging from baby to plus-size clothing, jewelry, and shoes with home decor and MORE all in one great place to come SHoP and ViSiT a while! We’re located on the square in Carthage, TX in the former KeN TuRnER PhArMaCy building. Lots of great HiStOrY in these walls here! Stay a while and I’ll tell you about it!😉 Chicken Row Market was named for the location on this side of the square. In the early 1900’s when the original courthouse was in the middle of the square, the towns people used to come on Saturdays to barter/buy chickens, donkeys, and no tellin’ what else...and hence the name Chicken Row. We couldn’t love it more!🐓 We LoVe this ToWn, and we LoVe it’s PeOpLe. We’re meeting needs for this small town while also providing an outlet for additional businesses to have a storefront to call their OWN. We’re HeLPiNg our vendors families and our employees families. We’re looking forward to MANY years to come!❤️ If you or someone you know is interested in applying to become a vendor, below are the requirements. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS To apply to be a vendor before the approval process, you must first have: ✔️Been in business a minimum of six months ✔️A business Facebook account with a minimum of 500 likes ✔️A business Facebook group account with a minimum of 500 people ✔️A business Instagram account with at least 500 followers ✔️Post in social media outlets consistently and frequently Items that may not be carried in the market: 🔘Bath Bombs 🔘Soaps 🔘Lotions 🔘Candles 🔘Car Freshies BEST vendor TIPS to increase revenue: ◾️Maintain your booth a minimum of twice per week ◾️Check inventory to know what has been selling to reorder ◾️Stock new merchandise weekly (know your limit, don’t be over/under stocked) ◾️Check sale items to be marked down again or pulled completely ◾️Check booth for items needed to be put on sale ◾️Check hold/sold items in the back to send reminders or put back out ◾️Straighten meticulously, such as, everything with it’s set in size order, hanging straight with hanger pointed to the left, folded evenly, all price tags tucked, jewelry on all out-facing displays, jewelry not on clothing hanging within the racks, shoes in size order with price forward facing, newest items on out-facing displays ◾️Take great photos for frequent social media posts ◾️Schedule social media posts with Hootsuite or Tailwind app ◾️Tag/hashtag/set location to Chicken Row Market on your posts ◾️Run sales on event night/promote event night frequently on social media ◾️Show up most event nights Please message or email us at [email protected] to apply or for any additional questions.
