Join us this Sunday, August 23rd 10am - 1pm for our next Friendly Farmers Kids Activity at the Catskill Farmers Market! Local artist Ntangou Badila will be facilitating chalk painting — all kids (and kids-at-heart) please join us in making our beloved market space a little more beautiful. Plus, leave knowing how to replicate this at home 🎨

Friendly Farmers is a FREE monthly event at market, made possible by the Friends of Catskill Public Library and Palenville Branch and the Catskill Public Library 🫶

Ntangou Badila is a Congolese-American visual artist based in Hudson, New York. Her dynamic paintings explore movement, color, and inner life, drawing from indigenous wisdom, spirituality, and the natural world. Influenced by the legacy of her father, renowned Congolese multidisciplinary artist Andre Elombe Badila, she transitioned from a successful career as an Executive Pastry Chef to pursue painting full-time. Her work has been featured on platforms such as AfroPunk, OkayAfrica, Demur Mag, and Snax Magazine, where she was a cover artist. Badila has exhibited widely, including solo shows Queendwombmen, Gemini Moon, E(n)ternal Lighf and , her 2026 exhibition Incantation : Painting Dreams reflecting her unwavering dedication to the pursuit of creative excellence and spiritual exploration.

Summer produce is going strong Catskill Farmers Market 🍅🌼 Come on down to the market this Sunday and take home some deliciousness for the week!

It’s peak summer bounty time at the Catskill Farmers Market! Come shop and stay a while this Sunday ✨ My itinerary suggestion:

- Walk around the market and shop from local farms and makers

- Pro tip: If Hickory Creek Farm has peaches this week, you MUST get. Trust me. I’m serious.

- Grab a lemonade or caff bev of your choice from Citiot ®️ tent

- Here for brekkie? Stop by DoughCo Bagels.

- Lunch? VanRoy’s Caribbean Grill has you covered. Enjoy your lunch at our picnic tables or sit by the creek! (My rec: jerk chicken with rice and coleslaw. Oxtail and goat curry are also amazing)

Get in losers, we’re going to the Farmers Market! 🚗Rumor has it, the weather is gonna be “absolutely perfect“ Sunday. 🕵🏻‍♀️ Who will be there? Does Eggman also flip the egg whites or just the yolks 🤨? And who will win the battle of the chefs? Only time will tell.

🗣️👨‍🍳 Battle of the Chefs! This Sunday, Chef King from and Chef George from will be at market — both gentlemen make up the super food team called . Come visit us between 10am—1pm for a friendly chef duel with fresh raw ingredients from market, and at the end of this competition meals will be combined for the public to enjoy.
