We run producer-only farmers’ markets which means that every farmer, rancher or agricultural producer at our markets have been inspected by our team to make sure they are growing what they are selling, using sustainable practices and treating their animals humanely.

[WIC/FMNP UPDATE]: The WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers have all been distributed at Texas Farmers Market for the 2026 season, and we are no longer issuing new vouchers at either of our market locations this year.

If you have already received WIC vouchers, you can continue to redeem them with eligible vendors at both TFM markets through the end of October 🍎🥕🌽

SPOTLIGHT ON 🔦 PEPPERS!

🌶️ Along with being one of the most photogenic types of produce, peppers of all shapes and sizes are also a fantastic source of vitamin C.
🫑 All peppers start green and turn red, orange, yellow, or purple as they ripen!
🌶️ Peppers love warm, sunny, and humid environments. They were made for Central Texas -- gardens here love them.
🫑 Birds can't taste capsaicin, the chemical that makes hot peppers spicy. Capsaicin only affects mammals!
🌶️ Botanically, peppers are actually fruits!

It's that time of year when you can find SO many varieties of peppers at the market. Ask your farmer what their favorite kind they grow is, what makes a purple bell pepper different than the more common red or green ones, or how spicy their jalepenos are this year. From long and skinny Jimmy Nardellos to wrinkly shish*tos and juicy poblanos, your new favorite pepper is waiting to be discovered!

New vendor alert: we are thrilled to welcome Soto Vino to TFM at Bell!

Soto Vino was founded in 2020 by brothers Christian and Dominic, rooted in their motto of "Siempre Afuera (“Always Outside”). Soto Vino's natural wines are light and easy to drink, with no chemicals, colors, or tannins -- plus they're made with sustainably grown Texas grapes.

While Soto Vino is crafted in Austin, you can also now find their wine across Texas and California. We're glad to be able to offer them at Bell and think you'll love sipping and admiring their creative labels as much as the TFM team has!
