Sirna’s Farm and Market (SFM) is owned by Craig & Anne Marie Sirna, first generation farmers who moved to their Auburn Township homestead in 1997. The Sirna family has been managing the land for 25 years in varying capacities at 19009 Ravenna Road. The farm is managed by their eldest daughter, Kristen Sirna, who took over growing operations and the farm market in 2019. Craig Sirna manages the live

stock, commodity and large acreage crops and Anne Marie manages the event space and oversees the operations. Other family members, Anthony (oldest son) and Kaitlyn (youngest daughter) assist as needed in other capacities, but have a more irregular role in the family endeavor. Sirna's Farm & Market's values are rooted in a deep appreciation for the community of Geauga County – honoring both the land and the people. Land stewardship with a keen eye towards sustainable growing practices and animal wellbeing are key components to Sirna’s approach to production from intentional rotational grazing of the cattle to beneficial insects used in lieu of pesticides. An additional value is honoring the people of our community by providing access to fresh, high quality produce and products, from our own farm or other local businesses, alongside our deep desire to connect and collaborate within the community to bring education into our local food system.

🍅 A little update from the tomato high tunnel...While there’s definitely a nice breeze and a great view of the sky in here right now, it’s not exactly how we planned it! Last Thursday’s storm ripped the plastic off our tomato high tunnel. Unfortunately, the damage will likely shorten our tomato season this year.

The good news is we’re still picking plenty of beautiful tomatoes, including Romas, and the Farm Market is stocked. But our season may wrap up a little earlier than usual, so enjoy those farm-fresh tomatoes while they’re here!

Just another reminder that Mother Nature always gets the final say in farming. 🍅🌱

🍅 ROMA TOMATO DEAL! 🍅
We had someone back out of a large Roma tomato order, so we have boxes of beautiful Roma tomatoes ready to go! Each box is approximately 20–25 lbs.

What can you do with that many tomatoes?
🍝 Make homemade pasta sauce
🌶️ Make salsa
🥫 Can them for winter
🍅 Roast them for soups, sauces & pastas
❄️ Freeze them for later
🍕 Make homemade pizza sauce

Romas are meaty, flavorful and perfect for preserving. If you've been waiting to put up some tomatoes for winter, this is your chance!

Two Gen Bakery is stocked at the farm market this week! 🥯🍪

They have a smaller menu this week while everyone is busy with the Great Geauga County Fair, but there are still plenty of favorites to grab, including bagels, oversized chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cream pies and muffins.

Stop by September 3–6 and grab some while they last!

🌱 CSA members: Just a reminder, there is NO CSA pickup this week, September 3. We’ll be back to our regular pickup next week.
