Crafting an Extrait de Parfum isn’t “mix and ship.” It’s hours of testing, aging, and re-testing to get that rich, long-lasting performance you feel on skin.

This video talks about the real process: weighing oils to the decimal, building the formula in layers, letting it macerate so the notes fuse, then adjusting the balance until it wears smooth from first spray to dry-down. High concentration means there’s nowhere to hide—every detail has to be right.

Luxury takes time. Consistency takes obsession. And I’d rather move slow and make it unforgettable than rush something “good enough.”

I realized this morning that I haven’t recorded a devotional reel in a while.

Every one I’ve done in the past has been from Charleston—balmy air, palm trees, that familiar coastal calm. Today was different. Today I recorded it from my childhood home in Connecticut… a place I haven’t really been back to in almost a decade.

Life has a funny way of bringing full circles you never planned.

Lately I’ve been reading Proverbs again—slowly, intentionally—and I’m gaining wisdom not just from the page, but from sitting with my brother and my father. Conversations I never thought I’d have again. Advice I never thought they’d want to give me again. And yet here they are, helping me with the sauce business, sharing insight, laughing, correcting, teaching. The real chefs in the family.

That alone feels like grace.

On top of that, I’ve probably made the 1,000th round of edits to the sequel to From Bars to Jars. I think—finally—I’m close to finishing it. I don’t know what the future of this story looks like. I don’t know where it all goes from here.

But God does.

He’s the author.
I just have to quit stealing the damn pen.

Grateful for reconciliation. Grateful for wisdom. Grateful for another chapter—even if I can’t see the whole book yet.

I have a habit of complicating things—making life harder than it has to be. But every time I slow down, sit still, and put it in God’s hands, He shows up. Every. Single. Time.

So I start the day here.
Faith first. Obedience over control.
And then I watch where He takes it.

and I built a life together that you can’t buy. We built a company with duct tape and bubblegum, with faith and an unrelenting determination. We never gave up on hope. We never gave up on each other. We weathered all the storms and fought for what we believed in. There has been a lot of mercy, grace, and love given to us by God who never stopped believing in us.

As many of you know, this company has gone through many changes, lots of growth and amazing blessings.

We’re not experts in anything except making great sauce and telling great stories.

I’ve made mistakes , I’ve complicated things, but I haven’t been afraid to fail forward. The new Apastioli website is now solely dedicated to sauce and the story that brought me from the pits of hell to the grocery store shelves.

The full audiobook is now available on YouTube and the fragrances have been moved to Roma Parfum .

This holiday season I want to personally thank everyone for sticking around while we keep figuring things out and growing spiritually. God bless.
