An Update for Our Community
Starting today, we are opening up at our Providence Rd location. At this time, Park Rd and Mint St locations will remain open for call-in + online orders only.
We do not take the decision to reopen at Providence lightly. With the COVID positivity rate currently at 6% in Mecklenburg County we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our customers and our employees. Our doors have been closed to customer foot traffic since March 17, ten days before the CARES Act was signed into law. To put it bluntly, with no further financial support from the government on the horizon, we have to reopen to survive.
Over the last seven months we have tackled a variety of challenges — including a COVID scare among our staff — and we are confident in our protocols. We will limit the number of customers in the store to 8. We have installed plexiglass dividers between customers and employees, and the floors are marked for social distancing. Of course, masks will be required for entry.
Internally, our 'new normal' protocols remain in place: all employees are monitored for symptoms before and during every shift at all three locations, including temperature checks; all employees are wearing masks while on the clock and gloves when handling food or any items that will come into contact with customers.
For those who are uncomfortable coming inside, we hear you — we'll continue to fulfill call-in + online orders. Call us when you arrive and we'll be glad to bring your order out for non-contact curbside pick-up.
The safety of our community is our top priority; this is precisely why Pasta & Provisions was closed for foot traffic of our own volition for so long. We will keep you posted as we enter this new phase at Providence Rd and we encourage everyone to continue to follow safety protocols, especially mask wearing and social distancing.
Pasta & Provisions is proud to serve our Charlotte community. Thank you for your support this year. We will get through this together.
Finally, today is election day; please vote for hope.
Peace,
The Georges
