As a kid, trips to the Asian market were my favorite part of the week. I’d run straight to the snack aisle, filling my tiny arms with colorful candies while my mom picked out vegetables and sauces 🥫🥦🫛

Now that I’m older, I see those trips differently.

Behind every shelf and every bag of rice are families and communities who work hard to bring the flavors of home to Charlotte.
