On 24/7 Day, we were so honored to celebrate Sgt. Sheridan and K-9 Dembe of the Albemarle County Police Department as they were recognized as one of three finalists for the NACS Foundation's First Responder of the Year Award.

Throughout 2025, this amazing pair supported critical operations and high-profile arrests across Albemarle County, responding to 373 calls for service, many requiring urgent assistance to patrol officers.
