⚠️ Charlottesville City Market Cancelled – Saturday, July 18 ⚠️

Due to forecasted unhealthy air quality and a Heat Advisory, the Charlottesville City Market will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, July 18.

The safety of our vendors, customers, performers, and staff is our highest priority. The combination of extreme heat and poor air quality creates unsafe conditions for the many hours our market community spends outdoors.

We know this is disappointing, and we appreciate your understanding as we put the health and safety of our market community first.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Charlottesville City Market on Saturday, July 25, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

In the meantime, you can continue supporting your favorite local farmers, food producers, and artisans by joining us at Farmers in the Park on Wednesday, July 22, from 3:00–7:00 PM at Pen Park. It's a great opportunity to stock up on fresh local produce, baked goods, meats, flowers, and handcrafted products while supporting the small businesses that make our markets so special.

🌿 Farmers in the Park has a new layout at Pen Park!

Starting this Wednesday, you'll find the market across the parking lot on the east side of Pen Park. Our new layout features more shade from mature trees, wider walkways, and additional space for customers to relax, enjoy their purchases, and connect with the community. The move also gives us room to expand future programming with live music and special events.

⚠️ Please note: Due to the Heat Advisory, Wind Down Wednesday has been canceled this week. Farmers in the Park will still be open from 3:00–7:00 PM with all your favorite local vendors.

If you're joining us, remember to drink plenty of water, take advantage of the shaded areas throughout the market, wear sun protection, and look out for one another in the summer heat.

The forecast may be calling for some showers, but the Charlottesville City Market will be OPEN this Saturday, May 23, with more than 60 local farmers, food producers, artisans, and makers ready to welcome you.
